Derbyshire Police would like to thank local residents in the area of LADYBANK ROAD, Mickleover for their patience yesterday.
Littleover Safer Neighbourhood Team Officers conducted speed checks on passing motorists as they approached and exited LADYBANK ROAD
from the nearby A516 exit and ETWALL ROAD.
Speed limits are set for a variety of reasons that include protecting vulnerable road users, reduce stopping distances, managing traffic flow and lowering the impact on our environment.
Operating your vehicle within the legal speed limit will protect lives, help manage road space and reduce the severity of any impact with other road users.
We ask that you drive safely from the moment that you turn the key of your vehicle and consider the consequences of your actions when travelling on the highway.
If we do stop you you may be given:
A verbal warning
A fixed penalty notice
offered a speed awareness course,
or be ordered to attend court .
